Excerpt from the Bridge of Change One Habit, Change Your Life

This last week of the program is called "The Bridge" because it carries you across from the past three weeks into the rest of your life. We're going to use this week to cement the progress you've made, to choose the tools you want to use during the next three weeks (remember, you're doing at least one more Heart segment), and to consider where you want to go from here.

You'll spend part of this week looking backward, and part of this week looking forward. You'll discover, or perhaps rediscover, what worked for you and what didn't, where your strengths and weaknesses are, what tempted you to stray and what helped keep you on your path. You'll take these discoveries and use them to design the program for your next cycle of The Heart segment.

In a strange way, the Bridge stands apart from the rest of the program. It's a period of reflection and planning. You're not going to be concentrating on your commitment and motivation as you did during both the Foundation and the Heart. While you will continue to work on changing that habit, your main efforts this week will be in design and planning, and the exercises reflect that change in focus.
